Slash Pricing Test

Product Design, Wireframing, A/B Testing
Project Overview
As part of an initiative to incentivize conversions and increase revenue, we wanted to test showing slash pricing in multiple locations in our checkout flow. The hypothesis was that seeing a discount would entice users into purchasing due to seeing the savings from an introductory offer.
My Contributions
I approached this ask by doing competitor research, then creating rough mockups to see what would be most visually appealing. After internal review, we ran UserTesting tests to gather feedback from the designs. I then parsed the feedback and revised the designs to create the final versions that were handed off to engineering to implement.
Competitor Research
We started out by doing competitor research and compiling examples of how other websites visually communicated slash pricing, and made note of common trends.

Initial Ideation
Working within our existing brand and design system, I started out crafting different approaches to how to display the pricing in different areas in our purchase experience. This included different color schemes, messaging approaches, and methods of displaying the price.
User Feedback
I then partnered with our UX/UI Designer to gather user feedback via UserTesting to see which version resonated most. Parsing the feedback in a Miro board helped us come to a conclusion on a final approach.
Final Designs
Taking into account the user feedback, stakeholder input, and developer review, I created the finalized designs that were eventually implemented by engineering in our live A/B test.
